More Than Just Peak Horsepower

One of the most common questions we hear is:

"How much more horsepower will I get?"

The honest answer is it depends on your bike and its modifications.

A well-developed custom ECU map typically delivers around a 5% increase in peak rear-wheel horsepower, but that's rarely the biggest improvement.

The real benefits are:

• Smoother throttle response
• Stronger mid-range torque
• Better acceleration
• Improved rideability
• Cleaner power delivery
• More predictable corner exits
• Better traction on race bikes

For race motorcycles, more power isn't always faster.

Sometimes we deliberately soften throttle delivery in specific areas to improve grip and allow the rider to get on the throttle earlier. A motorcycle that's easier to ride consistently is often a much faster motorcycle.
